News > Swim England South West Water Polo Sessions on 17 Apr 2021

With less than a week until regional training resumes, Swim England South West Water Polo have provided more information about the day and some reminders for the sessions on Sat 17 Apr 2021. It is really important and helpful that players have pre-registered with the admin team (see email addresses below) prior to the first session and that payments required have been made as set out below.

Pool
Millfield School Swimming Pool, Keen's Elm Ln, Street. BA16 0ST.

Registration and Session Start Times
  • Early Session (5-7pm) Year of Birth 2008, 2009 & 2010
    • As this is the first session of 2021 and maybe the first session ever for some, we would ask that all players arrive earlier than normal. Registration will start at 4.30pm and we ask that everyone has registered and assembled upstairs by 4.45pm so players can be put into groups and receive a briefing from the coaches before the session starts at 5pm.
  • Late session (7-9pm) Year of Birth 2007, 2006, 2005 & 2004
    • We ask that players have registered and assembled upstairs by 6.45pm

Social Distancing
Swim England South West Water Polo have been in contact with the pool manager and will ensure we take all reasonable precautions and have the best knowledge base we can to ensure a safe environment for everyone whilst working within the Swim England Guidelines.

Social distancing will need to be maintained around the building and in the registration area in reception.

Spectators
Due to current pool restrictions, there are no spectators allowed in the building during the session. Only the volunteers and coaches confirmed will be allowed entry. (As this restriction changes for future sessions Swim England South West Water Polo will let parents know as they are keen to watch the sessions.)

Arrive ‘beach ready’
As with most pools, changing room and toilet facilities will be restricted so Swim England South West Water Polo currently ask that players attend with swimwear on so that changing rooms are not required.

Water Bottles
A reminder that these are two-hour sessions and players are asked to ensure they have filled up water bottles for the sessions as the drinking fountains will not be available.

Payments
  • Returning Players
    • A reminder that the deadline for the £70 payment was 30 March 2021 and payment is required prior to attending the first session. If you have not made the payment or made it after the deadline, you will need to either bring £70 cash or preferably proof of electronic payment to show the admin team during registration. Players are not able to pay on a per session basis.
  • New Players
    • Need to bring £10 in cash when they come to their first session and if then continuing will be required to pay £60 prior to the second session. Payment details will be circulated after the first session.

Covid -19
In line with current Government guidance, all participants - players, coaches, club and match officials, volunteers, spectators (when permitted to attend) etc - should check for symptoms of Covid-19. If an individual is symptomatic and/or living in a household with a possible Covid-19 infection, they should remain at home and follow Government guidance.
