Swim England, based in Loughborough is seeking a Competition Planning Lead to work on a voluntary basis within Water Polo.

Swim England’s Water Polo Leadership Group is responsible for Water Polo development and competition on behalf of the national governing body in England and is looking to appoint a Competition Planning Lead on a voluntary basis to further develop and drive forward the sport of Water Polo.

The Competition Planning Lead is an informed voice and support in relation to the delivery of national events, providing input and advice to the Swim England Events Team. 

Competition Planning Lead also supports the delivery of regional and county competition calendars to maximise the competitive opportunities for all participants.

Your specific responsibilities will be to:
  • Be the main point of contact for the Swim England Events Team or designated officer for each event.
  • Provide key updates and discipline specific information relevant to the Events team in a timely manner to support the logistical running of an event.
  • Consult with the Events team on the competitions calendar development including dates and venue selection.
  • Provide the Events team with all competition specific information, including, but not limited to, event conditions, qualification times and draft schedule.
  • Communicate the appointment of Meet Directors on behalf of the Leadership group in line with the Group’s selection proceeses.
