News > The British Water Polo League 35/60 celebration event
Ten years on, Craig Figes and the GB men’s water polo team who performed so heroically at the London Olympics, are getting together again for one more big challenge – a match against the current GB squad.
It will take place at Parliament Hill Lido, Hampstead Heath, on 9 July 2022 during BWPL’s exciting all-day celebration to mark 60 years of national league polo in the country, as well as the 35th anniversary of the start of the women’s national league.
You can find all you need to know about the big day on the BWPL website – click on BWPL 35/60.
It also features a match involving the GB women’s squad vs GB All-Stars plus a festival of men’s and women’s games for teams aged 40-plus.
You can still book tickets now – the £20 cost includes a hog roast, two drinks at the bar and a souvenir programme! Please email tickets@bwpl.org by 28 June. You will receive a personalised reply with a payment reference and info, including the option of a veggie alternative. Once you have paid, your allocation will be confirmed and the tickets ready for collection on the day.
