EU Nations Men's Water Polo Tournament 2021
Eleven nations from across the world will return to Brno, Czech Republic, which recently hosted the U17 Boys’ and Girls’ dition of the event.
A senior men’s team and a U19 team from England will contest the three days of competition from 26-28 November., with the U19 team facing the first match of the tournament against the host nation. Also in attendance will be Lithuania, South Africa, Wales, Austria, Ukraine, Slovakia, Belgium, and Switzerland.
The senior team will make their competition debut against Lithuania.
Andy McGinty is head coach of the U19 side from Great Britain and said: “We are entering the senior EU Nations competition following our successful training camp in Hannover in October. As the only U19 team in the competition, we are expecting all of the games to be tough but we are looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to develop. We are really grateful to the competition organisers for running the tournament and for inviting us to compete. The opportunity to gain international experience at this level was too good to turn down and will give the team valuable international experience as we continue our preparation for the U19 Men’s European Qualifiers in April.”
