Young Players Explain Water Polo Signals
In the excitement of a hectic water polo match some young players (and not so young ones too) can find it difficult to understand the signals of referees. In this video, young Water Polo players from around Ireland take you through the basic signals so that you can understand what's going on in your next match!
Some background to this video... Young Water Polo players have told us that the referee’s signals can be confusing, especially when they are learning the sport. To help with this Swim Ireland worked with groups of young players to identify the referees signals and thus produced a video guide. The video guide explains the role of the referee as well as demonstrating some of the signals used in Water Polo. This was a youth led initiative with their young players being involved in all areas of the project. We hope you enjoy the guide and thank all clubs who took part in its production.
