Prerequisites
You must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the course.
Learners must hold a Swim England Water Polo Assistant (Coaching), an ASA Level 1 Award (QCF) in Coaching Water Polo, ASA Level 1 Water Polo Assistant (Coaching) or equivalent. 
You will be asked to provide formal photographic identification on the first day of your course. Click for more information.

Swim England Water Polo Coach **Blended Learning**

Details
This is a Blended Learning programme which means that learners complete part of the theory elements online. This work is assessed and will need to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face practical elements at Cheltenham College, Bath Road GL53 7LD.

You will be able to begin your online learning from 20 July 2018. You will be sent an email with details of how to begin this on or before 20 July 2018. You will have until two weeks before the first face to face date to successfully complete your online learning.

Description
The Swim England Water Polo Coach course is practical and designed for anyone wishing to become an independent Water Polo coach. It develops your knowledge, skills and abilities ahead of becoming an independent Water Polo coach.

The Swim England Water Polo Coach course gives coaches the skills needed to effectively and independently plan, prepare, deliver, monitor and evaluate a series of training sessions.

This is a blended learning programme consisting of:

Online Learning

You will be expected to complete an on-line workbook prior to the face to face sessions of the course.  It is anticipated that this will take 15 - 20 hours to complete. 

You will need access to a computer / tablet and Internet access to complete your online learning. Click for more information about system requirements.

Face-to-Face Course

Up to 4 practical days with an experienced tutor during which you will put the theory that you have learnt into practice.
 
This certificate is endorsed by Swim England.

All coaching certificates are awarded electronically, via an e-certificate and through a third party organisation who are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and are accredited to both ISO 9001 (Quality Standard) and ISO 27001 (Information Security). If you require a hard copy of your certificate you can apply for this following receipt of your e-certificate.

Assessment
The purpose of assessment is to ensure that effective learning has taken place. In order to achieve this certificate you will be expected to complete a series of assessment tasks approved by Swim England including:

  • Action plan
